The 2007 Advanced Kellogg Institute was a huge success. Stay tuned for an announcement about future Advanced Kellogg Institutes.
July 29 - August 3, 2007
Tailoring Interventions: Alternatives to Developmental Courses
The 2007 Advanced Kellogg Institute will focus on meeting the diverse needs and improving the learning experience of developmental students by examining the placement process. The seminar addresses the use of cognitive and non-cognitive student characteristics during placement procedures. When both areas of assessment are considered for determining an intervention, student learning can be improved. Non-cognitive instruments will be reviewed, as well as alternative interventions such as learning communities, first year seminars, tutoring, and student success courses. Each participant will be responsible for completing an action plan during the Advanced Kellogg Institute.
